BDO Latvia, in collaboration with the Art Academy of Latvia and the Kim? Contemporary Art Centre, is proud to announce the opening of the "BDO Young Artists Award" competition for 2024/2025, inviting graduates of the Art Academy of Latvia who obtained their master's degree in 2024 to participate in this prestigious competition.
This year, the award celebrates its fifth anniversary—this initiative provides significant support to emerging talents, while allowing the broader public to get acquainted with their work, fosters the development of the art sector, and strengthens the tradition of patronage in Latvia. The "BDO Young Artists Award" 2024 is a gateway for upcoming artists to gain recognition, broaden their horizons, and contribute to the flourishing environment of contemporary art scene in Latvia.
The competition winner will be awarded a prize of 2000 euros. The culmination of this award will be an captivating exhibition showcasing selected artworks, in collaboration with the experimental art space "Pilot."
Participants are invited to submit their works by December 6th of this year. Submitted works must fall within the categories of visual, visual-plastic, or audiovisual art.
